About
I have lived and worked in Edinburgh, Scotland since 2005 after gaining a Degree and Diploma in Architecture at the University of Portsmouth.
My work with Ordnance Survey maps began in 2012 when I used the sequence of grid intersections to visualise the manifestation of chance.
As I progressed, my works became more contexturalised by using features represented on maps to create a structure from which a composition is formed.
Recently, I have used Trig point locations (originally installed to conduct initial surveys & allow map production) to form the basis of geometric compositions.
Using one of these methods, or some other evolution, I aim to complete a work for each of the Ordnance Survey One-Inch map sheets to cover all Scotland.
